Heejae Lim is the founder and CEO of TalkingPoints, which drives student success in low-income, diverse areas through building strong partnerships across parents, schools, and communities. Previously, she served as chief of staff to a special advisor to the UK Secretary of Education. Heejae also worked with Aspire Public Schools to develop the Aspire Teacher Residency program (now Alder Education), and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she advised the Gates Foundation and Teach First UK as well as worked on large consumer/retail M&A deals. Having grown up as a Korean immigrant, English-Language Learner student herself, Heejae is passionate about driving student outcomes for the underserved student population through innovation and has worked on education reform to drive data-driven decision-making systems for national education ministries. She has been recognized as an Echoing Green Fellow, a Stanford Social Innovation Fellow, an Ashoka Changemaker, and a member of Forbes’ “30 Under 30: Education.”
