Anne Libera has worked with The Second City since 1986, serving as the Executive Artistic Director of The Second City Training Centers from 2001 to 2009 and directing the shows The Madness of Curious George, Computer Chips and Salsa, The Second City Goes to War well as productions across the United States, in Edinburgh and Vienna, and at sea. She’s also the author of The Second City Almanac of Improvisation, published by Northwestern University Press. Previously, she was an artistic consultant to the Museum of Science and Industry and reviewed theater for WGN radio. Currently, she’s the Director of Comedy Studies and coordinator for the B.A. degree in Comedy Writing and Performance at Columbia College Chicago, a unique collaboration with The Second City and the first degree of its kind in the United States.
