Physicist; TV Host, Discovery Channel
Deborah Berebichez is a Stanford-trained physicist and co-host of the Discovery Channel’s “Outrageous Acts of Science,” where she explains the science behind extraordinary feats. She also co-stars on the National Geographic Channel’s “Humanly Impossible.” Her research in wave propagation and the time reversal of waves led her to invent a novel wireless communications system that has potential advantages over current approaches. After doing doctoral work at Stanford, Berebichez carried out a National Science Foundation Fellowship at Columbia University and at NYU’s Courant Institute of Applied Mathematics. Her passion is to empower young people to learn science and to improve the state of STEM education in the world.
