Vice President, Federal Government Affairs, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers
Jennifer Thomas serves as the vice president of federal government affairs at the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, the leading advocacy group for the auto industry. In 2016, she played an integral role on Capitol Hill by successfully advocating for the passage of the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act, the first major update to an environmental statute in two decades. In addition to environmental issues, Thomas’ current primary focus includes trade policy, which involves positioning the Alliance as a leading voice in the discussions concerning modernization of the North American Free Trade Agreement and the administration’s current consideration of imposing tariffs on imported autos. In addition to testifying before US senators, members of the house of representatives and federal agencies, she has also appeared on NPR, Bloomberg, and BBC Radio, as well as many national and Capitol Hill print publications.
