Mark Peters

Deputy Laboratory Director for Programs, Argonne National Laboratory
Mark Peters is an expert in nuclear energy technologies who frequently advises Congress and the Department of Energy on the policies involving nuclear fuel cycles, nonproliferation and nuclear waste disposal. In his former role as the senior scientist to the director of the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (OCRWM), Peters resolved sensitive policy and technical issues on used fuel disposition. He currently serves as the deputy laboratory director for programs at the Argonne National Laboratory, where he oversees the science and technology portfolio, strategic planning, technology transfer and research and development.
