Robert Rubin

Co-chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations
Robert Rubin was U.S. Treasury Secretary in the Clinton Administration after serving as the first director of the White House National Economic Council. Rubin began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Company in 1966, serving as co-chairman from 1990 to 1992. From 1999 to 2009, he was a senior advisor and board member of Citigroup. In 2010, he joined Centerview Partners as senior counselor. Rubin is currently co-chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Boards of Trustees of the Mount Sinai Health System and Chairman of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation. In June 2014, he completed a 12-year term on the Harvard Corporation. He is also founder of The Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institution
